My name is Vera Schiff, born Katz, and I was born and lived in Czechoslovakia, the country which no longer exists today, in the capital of Prague and we have lived there for generations. A Jewish presence in that part of the world, dates back to 10 decades, but, uh, I don't when I was a child everything seemed to be just great and up until the time when the country became eventually occupied and divided and, uh, ruled by the Nazi government from Germany.
